Thanks for checking out my little slice of the internet. My name is Abhi Eswarappa, and my passion is motorcycle travel. I created this site to share my trips and in the process, hopefully help you find interesting things to explore.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a wonderful suburb of Boston called Andover. During these years, my parents would typically take my sister and I to India every four years to see extended family. It was on one of these trips that I discovered motorized transport on two wheels. I started putting around on scooters at 8, and since then I’ve been hooked. The next trip, at the age of 12, I got into small-displacement motorcycles and as soon as I could get my motorcycle permit in Massachusetts, I was on a Ninja 250.
After coming to sunny Los Angeles for my undergrad degree at USC, I spent one “winter” in LA and decided I wasn’t going back to Boston. Now I ride year-round! Since graduating, I’ve only worked for startups. My most recent project is EPICmt, which I’ve been lucky enough to co-found with an amazing group of people. While I truly enjoy what I do, the reason I work is to support my absurd bike habit – and it’s always nice to use the bike for work trips. I’ve come a little ways from putting around on 50cc scooters on dirt roads in India – personal highlights including trips down the Baja peninsula and going from Canada to Mexico in less than 24 hours. I’ve recently started a Fully Employed MBA program at UCLA which has taken up a lot of my riding time, but I’m always looking for the next excuse to get back on the road.
I hope you enjoy the site – feel free to reach me at either of the following:
